What do my ratings mean?
I rate on a scale of 1-5, 5 being the highest.
If a book receives:
5 stars-was really, really good, and achieved an emotional result in me
4 stars-excellent, really good, well written, few if any editorial errors
3 stars-average story, pretty good, no obvious flaws
2 stars-not too good, a little dull, may have poor editing or serious plot flaws
1 stars-really bad, can't recommend
I will often adjust stars based on editing, for instance if a story is really good, it might have rated 4 stars, but if the editing sucks, it drops a star. On the same reasoning, a story might suck really bad, but if the editing is good it might get two stars instead of 1.
