August Books 2012

A little behind here so I'll be brief. Books read in August 2012. I'll make note of anything I remember.

Completing the Circle by Carol Lynne. Kind of romantic suspense erotica, not m/m. It was a good 3 star read.

The Soldier and the Baby by Anne Stuart. A 1995 category romance. It was very sweet, and had a baby in it, lots of action, too. Loved it! 5 stars.

In the Darkest Night by Patti O'Shea. Paranormal romance. Book 4 in the series, but would do fine as a stand-alone. 4 stars.

Besieged by Jaid Black. Erotica. Book 1 in the Viking series. I read these out of order. I really enjoyed this one. 4 stars.

Miss Minnie and the Brass Pluggit by Sahara Kelly. Steampunk romance. This was, at times, extremely funny. It was a clever book. I loved it! 4.5 stars.

Wonderful by Jill Barnett. Historical Romance. Absolutely Fantastic. Loved every bit of it. 5 stars.

Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer. Kids book. It was fantastic! 4 stars.

One Foot in the Grave by Jeaniene Frost. Paranormal romance. 2nd book in series. Really good book. Didn't care for Cat's behavior at times. Hope she grows up soon. Good ending. 4 stars.

Flicker by Viola Grace. SFR. 1st book in the Terran Times series. But I didn't realize that a different series should be read first. It was short but good. 3 stars.

Wyoming Triple Heat by Delilah Hunt. Erotica. It was good. 3 stars.

The Spawning by Kaitlyn O'Connor. SF erotica. Book 2 in the series. Really, really, really loved it. (Big fan of the author). 5 stars!

Dragonquest by Anne McCaffrey. SF/fantasy. I liked it. 4 stars.

Infected: Prey by Andrea Speed. PNR m/m. I only read half of this 2-novella book. It wasn't bad, but I don't know that I will read any more in the series. 3 stars.

Pleasure Unbound by Larissa Ione. PNR. 1st book in the series. LOVED those men. Didn't care for any of the women. World building, storyline, loved all of that. Loved Dr E and the brothers. 4 stars.

Creation's Control by Marie Harte. SFR erotica. An m/m story in a non-m/m series, it was really good. I loved the romance between the 2 men. 4 stars.

My Life as a White Trash Zombie by Diana Rowland. This was really good! And at times hysterically funny! I am looking forward to reading more. 4 stars.

Defiant by Pamela Clare. Historical Romance. 3rd in the series, takes place during the French and Indian War. Fantastic book in EVERY way. Consider me a huge fan of Pamela Clare. 5 stars.

Bodies of Light by Lisabet Sarai. SFR. Short story. I loved the scifi setting and the sex was hot! 4 stars.

SEPTEMBER 2012 so far...

I'll Be Slaying You by Cynthia Eden. PNR. Very good. 4 stars.

Seria's Star Warrior by Reese Gabriel. Book 2 in More Than Male. Very good, 4 stars.

Bloodstained Oz by Christopher Golden. I didn't like it much. 2 stars.

Dragonsong by Anne McCaffrey. SF/fantasy. Menolly's story! Really good. 4.5 stars.

Primal Passions by Stephani Hecht. Lost Shifters #1. PNR m/m. Really enjoyed this. 4 stars.

When Beauty Tamed the Beast by Eloisa James. Historical Romance. Absolutely Loved it! 5 stars.

Brent the Heart Reader by Wynn Wagner. m/m. I liked it, though it was really heavy on the new age theme. 4 stars.

Surviving September 11th by Dan Holdridge. I really enjoyed the part about the attack and the immediate aftermath. The story of the later years got a bit boring. 3 stars.

Blood Red Road by Moira Shine. Post apocalyptic. Really good, though I dislike present tense narration. 4 stars.

The Claiming of Moira Shine by E.A Everaux. Futuristic erotica. This was really good. Though long and complicated, it never got dull. I loved the slow building romance. Fantastic story. 5 stars.

The Baddest Virgin in Texas by Maggie Shayne. Book #2 in the Texas Brands. Really nice story, 3.5 stars.

A Feral Christmas by Stephani Hecht. PNR m/m. Lost Shifters #2. Loving this series. 4 stars.

No Peace for the Damned by Megan Powell. UF. KOLL book of the month. LOVED it. Really interesting. I really liked the character Magnolia. Looking forward to book two. 5 stars.
